Your guide will meet you at the arrivals at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra for safe transport to your hotel in a comfortable vehicle. Depending on your time of arrival, you may go through an orientation and a city tour of Accra, visiting Kwame Nkrumah Monument, Independence Square, Makola Market, historic Jamestown, W.E.B. Du Bois Center, fashionable Oxford Street in Osu.
Today’s morning, you will embark on a long drive to the Volta Region. Your first stop will be at the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary in Tafi where you will tour through a forest and with some few bananas, you can pet these Mona Monkeys believed to be sacred to the people in the community. Later this evening is a drive to Amedzope the highest village settlement in Ghana where you will take a 15 min hike up to Mount Gemi and watch the sunset from Mount Gemi
Today is an early morning hike to the Wli Waterfalls, Ghana’s tallest waterfall. The falls stand amongst a meticulous landscape of forest, hills, and streams where you will hear the flow of water dashing down. You will have the opportunity to take a bath in the refreshing water, come back to the lodge for breakfast and head off back to Accra where your driver/guide will safely drop you off at the airport or hotel.
This morning you will depart on a 4 hours drive to Kumasi. In Kumasi, you will tour the Kejetia Market, the largest open market in West Africa, where people from all over Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo, and other neighboring countries come to buy and sell their goods.
Your tour today will not be complete without visiting the residence of the king of the Ashanti kingdom called the Manhyia Palace, you will also take the opportunity to visit some of the cultural villages of the Ashanti Region. Later this evening, you will visit the art and craft market and shop for souvenirs.
Today, set out on a 4-hour drive to Cape Coast, a city steeped in history and coastal charm. Upon arrival, begin your exploration with a visit to Cape Coast Castle or Elmina Castle, both poignant reminders of the transatlantic slave trade.
After a profound and emotional visit, take some time to relax at one of the beautiful beaches along the coast, enjoying the sun, sea, and sand.
Embark on an exciting journey to Kakum National Park, known for its lush rainforest and famous canopy walkway. Traverse the suspended bridges high above the forest floor, providing a unique perspective of the diverse flora and fauna.
Later, visit nearby local communities to learn about their traditional way of life and engage in cultural exchanges.
On this final day, enjoy some leisure time at Kokrobite Beach, soaking in the tranquil surroundings and reflecting on your unforgettable journey through Ghana.
Afterward, head back to Accra and make a stop in Osu for a delightful lunch. Visit Independence Square, a symbol of Ghana's freedom and nationhood, and explore the bustling art market in Accra to find the perfect souvenirs to remember your trip.

It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
